What we’ve done

PhysCap Playground

On 30 June 2011, our biggest ever project, the £225,000 PhysCap Playground was officially opened by PhysCap Patron, Howard Webb MBE. The PhysCap Playground at Temple Newsam Park in Leeds, is a state-of-the-art inclusive playground, free to use and open for children of all abilities, 365 days a year

Helping Eve on her Journey

In February 2012 PhysCap volunteers got their trainers and sweatbands on to take part in a 2 hour bootcamp endurance event – all in aid of a little girl called Eve. Eve Williams was born with the condition quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. Her parents were raising money for her to have a life-changing SDR operation in the US. Our event raised £25,000 and Eve’s operation went ahead in the Summer of 2012.

Guiseley School

In 2009 we financed a new outdoor pavilion to the tune of £12,000 at Green Meadows School in Guiseley. Here, children with special needs could leave their classroom and ‘chill out’ in an outdoor classroom with large windows. The PhysCap Pavilion is what ever they want it to be. It was officially by the then recently appointed Leeds United manager, Simon Grayson.
