Here are a few of our past Patrons:
Sir Michael Parkinson
I can't imagine what it is like growing up with a physical disability. Mary and I are forever thankful that our children and grandchildren are all physically able bodied. Sadly, that's not always the case and all too many children are brought into the world with a whole variety of physical impairments.
When this happens, it's not uncommon for either, or indeed both parents to give up a career and become a full time carer. With their income cruelly limited, the cost of essential equipment becomes a huge burden.
PhysCap are a children's charity that have been in existence for over 30 years. Their team of young, energetic and enthusiastic volunteers unselfishly give up their time without any financial reward what-so-ever. Over the years, many hundreds of disabled children in Yorkshire have called on and received help from PhysCap.
If you are like Mary and myself and have been blessed with able bodied children and grandchildren, please spare a thought for those not so fortunate.
I am delighted to add my support and proud to be associated with PhysCap.
